Spill the tea | Product Information

Yerbitas teas are hand blended in Los Angeles, CA using only the highest quality herbs sourced from small family-owned farms and distributors in the USA.

Es verdad, herbs and botanicals for teas are grown globally. And some countries export tons annually to be sold world-wide. I wondered why my manzanilla had to come from all the way across the world, when for centuries before global shipping, our ancestors used the herbs they could grow on their own land. So, when we started this journey, our search began with looking for the best yerbitas we could find in our own “backyard”. We had a wishlist: high quality herbs and botanicals, native to the land or easily grown without harming the land (sustainably grown), family-owned small farms or businesses (extra points for BIPOC-owned), pesticide-free & ethically harvested. Muy excited to say we checked every single one of these boxes! We source directly from the farms and continuously search for the best quality herbs to bring you the best remedios.

Our teas are non-perishable; However, we recommend up to a 1-year shelf life for flavor & freshness. We also recommend the following to maintain quality:

  • Keep your glass jars tightly sealed
  • Keep out of direct sunlight, as heat and light can damage the potency of the yerbitas
  • Keep in a cool & dry place (we keep ours in our kitchen cabinets, next to the galletitas)

Brewing tips:

Use 1 tsp of tea for every 6-8 ounces of hot water. Pour water over tea and steep for 4-5 minutes. Steep longer for more potent flavor and benefits. Naturally caffeine free blend can be enjoyed day or night. Buen provecho!

CALIENTITO:
For a warm cup of tea, keep your water just under 190 degrees for best results. Chamomile is powerful, but delicate. Use a mesh strainer, compostable tea bag or re-usable cotton tea bag to brew.

COLD BREW:
Si se puede! This blend can be cold brewed and is perfect on hot summer days, or your typical fall day in L.A. Use 1-2 tsp of the blend for every 6-8 ounces of water. Place dry tea in a container with a lid. Add room temperature water & tightly close lid. Let brew overnight, up to 12 hours, in cool & dry place. Strain, pour into cup and enjoy!
